Ear Candling (Thermal Auricular Therapy)

Ear Candling also known as Hopi Ear Candling or Thermal Auricular Therapy has been used in Great Britain for over 15 years and can be used to treat various ear, nose and throat problems as well as balance problems in the ears.

Ear Candling works by creating a small vacuum whilst the candles are slowly burning, gently massaging the eardrum and helping to regulate the pressure in the ear and remove any impurities.

It can help with the following symptoms or conditions

  • Excessive or compacted ear wax
  • Sinuitis
  • Rhinitis
  • Hayfever
  • Ear irritation
  • Colds and Flu
  • Glue ear
  • Headaches and Migranes
  • Tinnitus (Ringing in the ears)
  • Anxiety and Stress

It is also beneficial to have ear candling approximately 24 hours before and after a flight to regulate the balance in the ear.

A consultation including your medical history would be carried out before treatment commences and all information collated would be treated confidential in accordance with the Data Protection Act and is provided free of charge (recommended fee £30.00).

Both ears are checked during the consultation using a otoscope to check the eardrums and the ear canal.  This is a safe and painless procedure and takes seconds to check.

Ear candling is not suitable if you have the following problems

  • Grommets
  • Perforated Ear drum
